A cute little baby hiding under a pink polka dot blanket. The cake was strawberry mousse and the baby’s bottom was mango mousse. The feet, ribbon and bow were made from different flavors of fondant, with buttercream writing and hearts as a finishing touch. Welcome baby girl! This coy confection served 80 guests.

This cake was for a first birthday party. Made of white cake with custard and fresh strawberries, it was soft enough for even those party goers with no teeth – a common trait in the infant world. At 12” diameter and 5” tall, this cake fed 50 hungry adults and babies. The drum was adorned with tuning lugs, musical notes, and drum sticks. 100% edible, but some of the babies thought it was a toy

A cute little monkey is on its way! So proclaimed the invitations for this baby shower. This unusual tiered shower cake fed 100 people. A cute little monkey is ripping its way out of a present, casting the top ribbon and bow aside as it greets the world. The two bottom tiers are apricot jam and Bavarian crème. Imagine an apricot princess cake! Mmmmmm… (An original Primrose Bakery flavor!) The wrapping paper is green marzipan and the ribbons and polka dots are fondant. The monkey’s head is made of chocolate devil’s food cake and buttercream layers. Welcome to the world, little monkey!
